A weekend to refine, rediscover and boost your dance. In these workshops we’ll explore the essentials that make neotango fluid, expressive, beautiful, comfortable and free: walking with awareness and quality, precise footwork, groundedness, stable balance, good posture, connection with your partner, a magical embrace and playful musicality. Whether you’ve been dancing for years or you’re simply ready to grow, this weekend gives you the space to strengthen your foundation, become a better leader or follower, and expand your creative possibilities. A warm, inspiring journey back to the roots that make great dancing feel effortless and fun.

⫻ Contact Tango is an exploration of the encounter between two creative dance forms: Contact Improvisation and Tango.
By weaving together the principles of these two styles, we discover new ways of dancing in connection — with freedom, joy, and creativity.

Let yourself be moved by the rhythms, melodies, and energies of Tango, and be inspired by the fluid openness of Contact Improvisation.

No previous experience or fixed partner is needed — Lydia will guide you through a clear and playful journey of structured improvisation.

We’ll explore how to enrich your dance with expressive adornments, creative footwork, and musical details that elevate your connection and personal style. These workshops will also introduce modern movements that add visual flair and contemporary energy to your tango, while staying true to the essence of the embrace. Expect playful sequences that spark joy and connection, as well as stylish combinations that include embellishments on the floor and in the air — designed for both leaders and followers to express themselves with beauty, precision, and fun.

On Saturday 15 March you can dance again at DansJeVrij! in Naarden. Ezequiel Sanucci will give the workshop from 19:30 and will DJ a mix of music from 21:00 to dance to alone or together.

Workshop: DansjeVrij meets Fusion
In this workshop we will play with the enormous creativity that fusion brings to the field of dancing. We will be inspired by elements, steps and possibilities from dances such as contemporary dance, contact improvisation, Argentine tango, zouk, salsa, folklore and other styles. At the same time you have the opportunity to combine it with your own style, if you dance other dances. All this will give you new ideas that enrich your repertoire and ensure that you enjoy dancing more, alone, with a partner or in a group. Music can also suggest the fusion of styles and in this way you can use these possibilities to get in touch with each other even more on a musical level and have a good time.

Free dancing
After the workshop, Ezequiel will also provide the music for the free dance evening as a DJ. He will play a mix of music in which the neotango will of course also be included.
You are welcome to enjoy this dance evening.

The price for the entire evening is €20 and if you come after 21:00 to only dance freely, you pay €17.
