Neotango is often associated only with open embrace, but that is not the only option. In this weekend, we will explore how to dance to alternative music in both close and open embrace, and how to move smoothly from one to the other.
We’ll work on musicality, connection, and modern combinations that make both embraces comfortable, playful, intimate, and dynamic, expanding your possibilities and transforming the way you experience neotango.

How to get there with Public Transport
Train to Meppel
Go first to Meppel train station. Then you can choose a taxi or bus to get there.
By Taxi:
– Regiotaxi Telnr HUBtaxi is 08008294225 (reserve an hour in advance!)
– From Meppel NS station to Winkelsteeg 5 in Uffelte:
– TELNR: 08008294225 (CHECK! This is the number for the HUB) for the low rate: Clearly state that you are taking the HUB and reserve at least 1 hour in advance!
– Costs: €3.70 per person. If you are with more than 2 people, please let us know.
By bus
* train to Meppel and from the station bus 28 Qbuzz (direction Smilde/Assen) to Uffelte
* get off 1 stop after highway restaurant Frederikshaven, the stop “Weg Achter de Es”
* walk from the canal into the Weg Achter de Es
* after approx. 500 meters take a wide dirt road to the right, this is the Winkelsteeg
* after 200 meters on the dirt road is De Uelenspieghel on the right
The main teachers and founders of this event
Ezequiel Sanucci & Lydia Müller are Neo Tango specialists and they created their own dance style. They are professional teachers, dancers and choreographers in Argentine tango (neo and traditional), contemporary dance, ballet and contact improvisation. They studied Argentine tango in Buenos Aires, performed at major festivals, theaters, milongas, events, embassies in Europe and Latin America and in many cases together with well-known orchestras. They teach regular neo, traditional and contact tango courses and as well as workshops for festivals, schools, milongas and other events. Ezequiel is also a neo and traditional tango DJ. About the location:
The Uelenspieghel lies in the middle of nature in a quiet area where you can walk in a beautiful environment with woods, heath and fens. It is very common to hear an owl, see a deer cross your path or see the squirrels jumping above you through the trees.
This old-Saxon farmhouse in Drenthe is the perfect location for tango weekends. The farm has a large hall, a dining room, a group kitchen, a small hall, amphitheater and a studio. A whiteboard, music equipment and a beamer are present. On the grounds of De Uelenspieghel there is a large terrace and a fire pit.
The bedrooms are located in the farmhouse and there are three wooden chalets on the site. There is enough space to camp with your caravan, camper or tent. Electricity and Wi-Fi are available.
